I know as soon as I say this that an Ice Age will break out, but I am honestly getting a little giddy at the sunshine and fresh air we are getting in these parts!
I find myself doing crazy things like opening windows for fresh air, dreaming of spring breaks to the Lakes, and contemplating tidying the garden up. Even the birds are starting to look a bit smug.
The insane rhythm of wake-eat-pray-eat-pray-eat-sleep, has started to expand and allow time for, well, life. Yes, life.
I can hear the squeaking of underground roots stretching. I catch myself smiling at the sun, imagining after-dinner play in the garden once again.
I know between now and Spring, and the months thereafter, it is quite possible we will be sent curveballs and hurricanes, but I swear I can feel my spirit rejuvenate.
It definitely feels like the end of a long tunnel; we’ve survived the lousiest season and I’m feeling …perky!
And that’s a big deal. For me.
ikwym!! There is sunshine! I really struggle with winter.

Well! I want to live where you lot live! Here we’ve had rain, rain, freezing rain. The librarian today suggested snow!!
Sun? Bah, humbug. š
Love your yellow flowers though. That helps š
Perky! I’m glad for you. I look forward to perky. I am stunned that forsythia is blooming in your world right now. Wow. It will be months before we see it here…
I’m pleased you’re feeling perky š
