Oh I have waited for this day for a LONG time
Um, six months to be exact 
I have been waiting an age to use this new tablecloth too. The children and I have been making birds nests and crepe flowers and generally looking forward to picnicking and outdoor play.
Everything is so fresh you can almost hear the buds squeaking ready to pop and the daffodils on our table have added a lovely scent to the house - really giddying after such a long time with no growing thing about.
A jolly day with much planning and cleaning and blankets a-washing.
And don’t you just LOVE that yellow??

Beautiful. Thanks for reminding us what day it was! I enjoyed the full moon last night but still the penny didn’t drop that it was also the vernal equinox.
Sabera, no I didn’t grow these, although we have mighty fine ones in our garden masha’allah - children would gladly rip every stalk off every tree for me if they saw me pick flowers for the table
Oh Gill! I have actually been crossing the dates off my internal calendar since the beginning of winter and been looking FORWARD to this day!
